Oak Hill Conservation Area

180 Norton Rd, Fayette, ME 04349

Located in Fayette, Maine on a ridge overlooking Echo Lake and Kents Hill, this is a great trail. It is rustic but not overly rough. You start near the top of the ridge so there is not much climbing. At the far end of the loop there is a scenic overlook where you can see part of Echo Lake, the Mill Pond in Fayette, and Kents Hill.

Fayette General Store

They serve great sandwiches here, so think about ordering ahead. This store was once owned by the family who owned the Oak Hill property.

The Apple Shed Kitchen

In addition to pies and pastries, they sell a large assortment of prepared entrees that you can take home and heat up. Think about stopping in at the end of your hike to pick up dinner. I highly recommend the Butternut Lasagne, or Bacon Wrapped Bourbon Meatloaf.
